I have to say that I’m pretty impressed with T5. It took a grand total of 40 mins from the time we joined the queue at the bag drop to the time got through security and it seemed quite busy too. We went got the usual duty free stuff and then grabbed a coffee and muffin at Pret. Before we knew it, it was time to go to the gate. Oh yeah, gate C63….almost the furthest gate from the terminal. The guy at the bag drop said to us not to go too early as there’s nothing there. Obviously it’s too far for him to get to every often as there was a coffee shop, Boots, WHSmith as well as a small duty free shop.
A we take a little longer than most people boarding aircraft they took us through before the masses descended on the plane. Premium economy is definitely worth it for longer flights. Much more leg room, better food, and less people queuing for the loos. I can only imagine how wonderful it must be in the hallowed Club Class or heaven forbid….First Class. One day….maybe.
The views through the window have been amazing so far, I’ll put a few on here taken with my iPad. Beautifully clear day, smooth flight apart from a few bumps and lets hope it continues for the rest of the flight (we have 2 hours to go as I write this).
We finally arrived (been awake about 19 hrs so quite tired). Will do a proper post tomorrow 🙂
